SCC Rolls Out New Certified Nursing Aid Apprenticeship Training Program

In November, Southeastern Community College (SCC) officials inked a deal with the US Department of Labor to offer a workplace-based, registered apprenticeship training program for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA). The program will allow area employers to provide on-the-job training to their staff using curriculum and learning standards developed by SCC.

SCC Helps Fund LEGO Program at Burlington Public Library

Southeastern Community College (SCC) is fostering advanced manufacturing at an early age. Beginning in September, SCC is helping fund an advanced manufacturing program for kids at the Burlington Public Library. In July, the library was one of 15 recipients of a grant from Elevate Iowa's Advanced Manufacturing initiative.

SCC to host College Fair for Area High School Students and their Parents

All area high school juniors and seniors and their parents are invited to learn more about their college options at College Representative Day from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 14, at Southeastern Community College, Loren Walker Arena. The college fair will be hosted by the Iowa Association for College Admission Counseling.

Southeastern Community College Keokuk campus Drama Club will host Flesh Fest 2014: Keokuk Zombie Walk on Friday, October 10. The walk will begin at Estes Park at 5th and Main Street in Keokuk. The contest and Walk start at 6:00 p.m. Registration will start at 5:30 p.m.
