Help Desk office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Phone support hours are 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Onsite staff will serve visitors and answer calls in the order they are received.

Messages and email are checked regularly on nights and weekends. Please leave a detailed message so we can assist you as efficiently as possible.

When calling, be sure to tell us:
- Your first and last name.
- Your phone number or alternate means of contact.
- The type of equipment with the problem (printer, scanner, monitor, etc.) and its model.
- A brief description of the problem or request. Be sure to include the exact wording of any error messages.
Hawknet & SCC email
Hawknet is SCC's student portal. Hawknet is a one stop shop for all your online classes (Canvas), college email, and to view your Financial aid, grades, pay tuition, and more (Self Service).
Microsoft Office 365 is free for students
SCC uses Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for student learning. SCC students can get Microsoft Office 365 for free.
Blackhawk Alerts emergency alert system
The Blackhawk Alert system is how SCC announces school closings, weather warnings, and other timely or urgent information.
Here are some things you can do to make sure you're getting our Blackhawk Alerts:
- Verify that your student record information is up to date. Visit the Student Support Center to confirm.
- You may have opted out. To opt back in, text "Subscribe SECC" to 23177. When complete, you will receive a reply confirming your request.
To start receiving voice messages and text alerts, type "Start SECC" to 53291. When complete, you will receive a reply confirming your request.
Current students and their emergency contacts, and SCC employees will receive Blackhawk Alerts. If you don't want to receive them anymore, contact Student Support Center and request that your information be removed from our contact list.
No. Stop by the Student Support Center and provide your updated contact information. Our system updates every night so you'll be good to go.
Student printing
Registered students are given a free $40 print/copy quota per semester. One sided pages cost 10 cents a page, and double sided pages cost 15 cents, which is deducted from your balance.
If you run out of funds in your account, contact the Help Desk.
