Work-Study FAQs

Who is eligible for work-study?

A student can identify their work-study eligibility by examining their financial aid offer in Self-Service. Eligibility will be indicated by the inclusion of a "Work-Study" offer and amount. However, the inclusion of a work-study amount does not guarantee employment through the program. Due to the limited amount of federal funds and the limited availability of work-study positions, not every qualified student will obtain employment through the program.

How much can I earn?

The current wage rate is $13.50 per hour ($14.00 per hour for community service positions). Eligibility and offered amounts are based on calculated need as determined by information provided on the FAFSA. Students who secure a position MUST complete all paperwork with Financial Aid and Human Resource Offices BEFORE beginning any work.

How do I apply?

To apply for any of these positions, complete a Work-Study Employment Application. Specify on the application which position you are applying for.
