STEP Program

We support students on the next STEP in their education.

Make the transition to college and career more confidently with STEP.

SCC partners with Great Prairie Area Education Agency and 15 area high schools to provide Secondary Transitional Education Program (STEP) to special needs high school students who require learning accommodations.

Students in STEP get specialized support to help them with:

  • Transitioning to college life
  • Learning skills to be successful in college
  • Preparing for their dream job

Many former STEP students have successfully started great careers or earned bachelor's and master's degrees.
