Registration for SCC's popular Kidtek University learning program is now open.

Kidtek is hands-on and career-focused, with over 30 topics geared toward students in grades 4-6 and 7-9. The categories include animation, robotics, science, welding, and YouTube content creation, along with other STEM-related topics.

The program will take place in June and July at sites in Burlington, Keokuk, Mount Pleasant, and West Burlington. Virtual camps will also be offered.

Social distancing and mask requirements remain in effect for the safety of the participants.

All camps will run Monday through Friday. Two sessions will be offered; in-person classes will take place from 9 a.m. - noon and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. and virtual classes will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

“We are excited to offer these camps this year,” said Beth Nickel, Sales & Marketing Director of SCC Center for Business. “Being able to engage students with fun learning opportunities after this unique school year is a priority for the college.”

The fee is $179 for each week-long in-person camp and $149 for each virtual camp. Full and partial scholarships are available for qualifying families.
