Blackhawk Recreation Center
The Blackhawk Rec Center is a recreation center located on the main campus in West Burlington.
The Blackhawk Rec Center use is free for credit students and employees. Community members can sign up and use the walking track for free.
The Rec Center Features:
- Two full-size basketball and/or volleyball courts
- Walking & jogging track
- Cardio & strength training area
Open Rec
SCC is dedicated to the pursuit of wellness for each and every student.
We offer Open Rec Nights as a fun way to be active.
Hours of Operation
Fall & Spring Semester Hours
| Monday - Friday | 5:30am - 10:00pm |
| Saturday & Sunday | Noon - 7:00pm |
Summer Hours
| Monday - Friday | 6:00am - 6:00pm |
| Saturday & Sunday | Noon - 7:00pm |
In some instances, the Rec Center will be closed with no advance notice. These include, but are not limited to, inclement weather and emergency situations.
If campus is closed, the Rec Center is also closed. This includes all weather-related closings. See the academic calendar for scheduled college closings.
Use of Facility
Recreational use of the Blackhawk Rec Center facility is limited to approved members.
All persons wishing to utilize the Blackhawk Rec Center are required to sign a BRC Waiver, a Release of Liability Form, and possess and present a current Blackhawk ID at the time they use the facility.
