Career Services partners with faculty and staff to help students connect their education to meaningful career opportunities.

Whether your students are preparing to enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year institution, we offer classroom presentations, workshops, employer engagement opportunities, and career readiness support.

Career & Technical Education (CTE) & Health Programs

Career & Technical Education (CTE) and Health programs prepare students for career-focused professions through hands-on learning and industry-aligned training. The Director of CTE Workforce Partnerships, Recruitment & Placement works exclusively with these programs to support student career readiness and employer engagement.

Support for Faculty Includes:

• Program-specific classroom presentations
• Résumé, interview, and job readiness workshops tailored to industry expectations
• Coordination of employer speakers, industry panels, and workplace tours
• Support for internships, apprenticeships, clinical experiences, and other work-based learning opportunities
• Assistance with employer partnerships and recruitment efforts
• Labor market information and industry trends relevant to your program

This role is dedicated to helping CTE and Health students successfully transition from education to employment.

Transfer, Liberal Arts, and General Education Programs

The Career Services Specialist supports students in transfer-oriented and non-CTE pathways, including Associate of Arts, Liberal Arts, Criminology, Social Work, General Education, and Undecided majors.

Support for Faculty Includes:

• Career exploration presentations and activities
• Résumé, cover letter, and interview preparation workshops
• Handshake demonstrations and job search guidance
• Classroom visits focused on career readiness and professional development
• Employer engagement and networking opportunities aligned with academic programs
• Support for students exploring majors, careers, and transfer pathways

This role helps students connect their academic experiences to career goals, transfer opportunities, and future employment.
