Supports: Career & Technical Education (CTE) and Health students
Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs prepare students for high-demand careers through hands-on training in fields such as manufacturing, welding, automotive technology, information technology, business, skilled trades, and other workforce-focused industries.
The Director of CTE Workforce Partnerships, Recruitment & Placement works exclusively with students in CTE and Health programs, helping them transition from the classroom to a successful career through:
- Career exploration related to your program of study
- Internships, apprenticeships, and other work-based learning opportunities
- Résumé, cover letter, and interview preparation
- Job search and placement assistance
- Networking opportunities with local employers and industry partners
- Connections to career pathways in your chosen field

Supports: Associate of Arts (AA), Criminology, Transfer, Liberal Arts, and Undecided students
If you are not enrolled in a Career & Technical Education (CTE) or Health program, the Career Services Specialist is your primary career resource. Whether you're planning to transfer to a four-year institution, exploring career options, or preparing to enter the workforce, Kelsey can help you every step of the way.
Support includes:
- Exploring majors, career interests, and career pathways
- Identifying transfer and education opportunities
- Résumé, cover letter, and portfolio development
- Job and internship search strategies

Clothing Closet
The SCC clothing closet serves as a resource for students in need of professional attire. It is open 24/7 so students can access it any time.
Donations are accepted. We request gently used business clothes including: dress pants, dress shirts, work-appropriate dresses/skirts, polos, sweaters, sports coats, dress shoes, new socks, ties, and scarves.
The SCC clothing closet is more than just a storage space; it’s a supportive initiative aimed at helping students succeed.
The clothing closet is located in room 132 on the West Burlington campus next to the mail room.
