Topics include applying depth of field, shutter speed, background, lighting, and composition options for optimum results in the field. Session 1 will be classroom-based theory. Sessions 2 and 3 will be field work at Geode State Park. Session 4 will be classroom-based review of results and critique. Participants should have access to a DLSR camera with the ability to take close up photos from a distance of 18 inches or less. Participants should have moderate shooting and editing skills and the ability to walk short distances over rough terrain and photograph flowers less than 12 inches from the ground.
